Young SAGE event | Call for participation

We are the Young Science Advisory Group for Engagement (Young SAGE).

We’re a group of young students and researchers working with the University of Edinburgh, investigating the preferences of young people in STEM in secondary schools across the city.  We are currently organising a STEM fair to be held on the 1st March 2018 (Alternatively 8th March). This event is for S1s and S2s, in order for us to discover if interactive STEM experiences can change young students’ interest in STEM.

The aim is to run stalls and potentially other activities (presentations, games, etc.) at this event. We would like to request the help of volunteers who would be willing to give up their time to help out with said event by setting up and running their own STEM-based stalls/activities. Due to the younger age range of pupils attending (11-14), we would like the activities to be interactive and easy to understand.

We are currently finalising the details, so any input you may have is appreciated. Numbers of attendees and venue is still to be confirmed.

If you or someone you know would be interested in participating within this event or have any queries, please respond to edin.youngsage@gmail.com with any plans/ideas you may have by Wednesday 24th January.
