Description: FameLab not only inspires the next generation of science communicators but excels at building the skills that will enable scientists and engineers to explain, debate, discuss and be challenged. FameLab contestants are coached and mentored by some of the best science commnicators in the world. The result is a celebrated alumni of scientists and engineeers able to get everyone ‘talking science’ in the media intensive environment in which we all live.
Who Gets Involved: If you’re currently working in science. technology, engineering or maths, and think you can explain a science or engineering concept in an engaging way to non-scientists in just three minutes, we want to hear from you!
What Can I Do? The search is on for the new voices of science communication. The Beltane Public Engagement Network and the University of Aberdeen are hosting heats of FameLab, the UK’s biggest competition to discover new talent to engage the public in Science and Engineering.
