Description: BioPOD is the official podcast of the School of Biological Sciences, produced and presented by enthusiastic student volunteers. BioPOD, the School of Biological Sciences podcast team are looking for PhD students and post-docs to get involved. No experience required: we can provide complete audio and media training. BioPOD tells the world about current research and activities in the School of Biological Sciences here at the University of Edinburgh. If you are interested in public engagement and how to work with science media, this would be a great way of building your skills and getting something different onto your CV.

Target Audience: People interested in science, from undergrad level of education up

Who Gets Involved: PhD students and researchers from the school of Biology, University of Edinburgh.

What Could I do? Involvement is totally flexible – you can just help out with one of the podcast episodes, or join the BioPOD team that creates and manages the podcasts.

Timescale: BioPOD issues a new episode every two months, so a new episode is always underway.

Benefits: Media & audio training. Great addition to your CV. Build up a knowledge of how the media works from the inside.
