Training | An Introduction to Blogging for Researchers

Now open for booking!

Do you want to start blogging? Do you already have a blog that’s looking lacklustre? Join “An Introduction to Blogging for Researchers” this autumn, a three-part programme to start or reinvigorate your blogging habit.

If you do not already have experience of running a blog, you will need to attend “Getting Started” before attending “Writing Blogs” and/or “Video Blogging”. There will be a degree of overlap between “Writing Blogs” and “Video Blogging”, but you are welcome to attend both sessions; you may also attend only one or the other.

Eligibility

The sessions are open to PhD students, academic staff and support staff from any university, plus those working outside a university who wish to blog about research.

Cost

The cost-per-session ranges from £20 to £30 (depending on the session) for staff and students from universities in Edinburgh. Bursaries are available to students and, exceptionally, staff.

For anyone not affiliated to a University on Edinburgh, the cost-per-session ranges from £38.50 to £59.50 (depending on the session). No bursaries are available.

Booking

Booking is via the University of Edinburgh’s ePay system. You will need a debit or credit card to book. If you do not have a credit or debit card, or if you wish to make a block booking for several people, we may be able to invoice you instead.

If you wish to apply for a bursary, please complete the relevant bursary form (below) and submit it to Beltane. Please do not book your place until Beltane has confirmed you have been awarded a bursary.
