Prof Graham Turner, Chair of Translation at Heriot-Watt University, has written an article for “The Limping Chicken” magazine about the ‘fake’ interpreter who appeared at the Nelson Mandela memorial event in December 2013.
“The Limping Chicken” is the UK’s independent deaf news and deaf blogs website. Edited by partially-deaf journalist and scriptwriter Charlie Swinbourne, the magazine achieved a major coup by breaking the story about the ‘fake’ interpreter.
Graham’s post has been viewed more than 20,000 times and, for a time in December 2013, it was in the top ten articles viewed on “The Limping Chicken” website.
