We are no longer accepting expressions of interest for 2016 contributors to our managed activities. However, we still need more general volunteers to help things run smoothly on the day – please email info@beltanenetwork.org if you’re interested! And if you’re running something on 30th September or 1st October that you’d like us to promote as part of Explorathon, drop us a line too.
EU Researchers Night is on 30th September 2016. It’s a Europe-wide public event that celebrates research. Over 30 countries and 300 cities are involved! And #Brexit or no #Brexit, Beltane is bringing Researchers’ Night to Edinburgh once more.
The Beltane partners, in cooperation with Leith Labs and Fun Palaces Scotland, are coordinating three events across three venues in Edinburgh under the banner ‘Explorathon 2016’. We are looking for researchers from all disciplines to get involved. There are opportunities to do talks, drop-in activities, science busking, conversation-style activities, or to run your own event about your research.
2016 Venues
Our centrally-organised venues for 2016 are:
- Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre – Leith
- City of Edinburgh Methodist Church – Newington
