The Beltane university partners have agreed to take forward the Edinburgh Beltane project in partnership and as of August 2012 we’ll be moving offices and changing our website.
As you will be aware the funding for the Beacons for Public Engagement will be finishing at the end of June 2012. However we are pleased to be able to announce that the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Napier University and Queen Margaret University have agreed to take forward the Edinburgh Beltane project in partnership.
As of 1 August 2012, the Edinburgh Beltane will be hosted by the University of Edinburgh’s Institute of Academic Development (IAD). The IAD supports teaching, learning and researcher development in the University of Edinburgh and also hosts a number of inter-institutional projects such as Vitae’s Scotland and Northern Ireland Hub.
Working at IAD will complement Beltane’s strong reputation in training and personal development. We will continue to run a range of workshops, projects and other activities to support researchers in their engagement with the public and policy across several different universities (including Edinburgh) and work with a range of external partners (including the Scottish parliament).
We will be contacting our current external partners soon to discuss continued engagement with them and hope that they will be involved from the beginning of this exciting next phase of the Beltane.
As of 1 August, 2012 the new contact details for the Beltane Team will be:
